The M-65 Field Jacketwas an improvement on the M-51 Field Jacket. With some changes fromits predecessor such as the introduction of velcro instead of buttons in the cuffs and at the collar, the M-65 also has a built in hood that's hidden in the collar. The jacket is made inwindproof cotton sateen cloth andfeatures four pockets on the front and adrawstring waist, just like the earlier versions of the Field Jacket. The olive drab version remained in serviceuntil theearly 80s and was then replaced with a woodland patterncamouflageversion.
This is a Vintage original from 1968 with a liner from 1987. When it comes to condition, it's practically new. Incredibly good condition considering the age of the jacket.
The size 'short' is not as common and we really appreciate that the fit is boxier than the more common 'regular' variants.
